Located on the Upper Sunshine Coast in Powell River, British Columbia, Canada, the trail stretches 180 km from the Saltery Bay ferry terminal in the south to Sarah Point in the world-famous Desolation Sound Marine Park in the north. The Trail is divided into 3 sections, with campsites all along the way.

To begin the Sunshine Coast Trail you take a scenic water taxi ride from Lund through the Copeland Islands . Hikers will enjoy giant old growth cedar and fir along the entire Sunshine Coast Trail. The trail was designed to encompass as many viewpoints, lakes, rivers and stands of old growth as was possible.

There are warm protected swimming holes and accessible shoreline lakes.
