If you are driving from Vancouver, take the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale. Follow the signs for the ferry to Powell River, and drive to Earls Cove (about 1 hour and 15 minutes).
Take a second ferry to Saltery Bay to reach the Upper Sunshine Coast and Powell River region.
The entire trip from downtown Vancouver to Powell River takes about 5 hours. You only pay once to ride the two ferries up the Sunshine Coast.
This drive is a scenic adventure, one that many visitors enjoy.
